The main objective of SBHF is to formalize and routinize Angel Flight financial operations so that sufficient donations are consistently being solicited and dispersed among the Angel Flight Pilots to offset the cost of these life-saving flights, thus ensuring the ongoing sustainability of Angel Flights in our area, and hopefully one day, across the nation. The idea is to develop and maximize the sustainability of Angel Flight networks across the nation, enabling them to become an enduring national institution. The mission will support the ongoing vision of improving the quality of outcomes and quality of life for children and adults experiencing life-threatening illnesses and in need of special treatments and organ transplants that they can only receive by travelling to distant cities. The second, and just as vital mission of the Samuel B. Hoskins Foundation is to provide scholarships to young adults who dream of becoming aviators.
